Show us how to make/do something

One thing that a lot of people forget is to do is to prepare their projects well. This new project has three different steps, which you must follow carefully.

  1. Learn how to make a flowchart.
  2. Go to eHow and browse the menu. Select TWO different processes and make a flowchart for each one. DO NOT copy & paste. You need to explain the process in your own words. This step is individual.
  3. Send the flow chart by email (to ralfortiz@gmail.com) as attachments. You need to complete this process in order to do the next step. Your email should be named flow_last name_first name.
  4. Form a team of no less than 2, and no more than 3 members. And you are going to show us how to make/do something on Friday (October, 19th). You need to present a flowchart before you do your project.

Adding a Covering Letter to Your Resume

There are some things to do when looking for jobs in differnt areas of the tourism industry.
First of all, you will select the job that you find most interesting and shape your resume for that position. The first link is for a WORD document, which is ONE of the general formats. You will use AND ADJUST the information we saw in class. By using this document you can see the general design. Feel free to use other document designs that are an improvement over what has been given to you.
As you already know, when you mail your CV/resume, it must be accompanied by a covering letter which will be your chance to tell the employer why they should hire you. It is your first impression to make. By clicking on the link you will have access to a PDF document, which is an example written to accompany a resume for a job in design studio. The example is not related to the tourism industry so that you have the chance to use your creativity and include information relevant to your aspirations. It also needs to be polished. For more information on covering letters follow this link and apply what you learn to your letter.
You have until February 9th at midnight to mail in your work; covering letter & resume. Your covering must be the body of the email, and the resume should be included as an attachment. Your mail should be named LAB_Activity_02_09. Assigments which do not follow these instructions will not be read or graded.
